A bad batch of feed, probably with rumensin, killed this great mare.
Bloodwork can be found here: the calcium reading was re-checked at an 8.
Kidneys were already failing, indicated by the BUN reading. Internally, there were lesions all over the intestines, particularly the large intestine was very bad. Kidneys looked highly abnormal, with dark red everywhere, and not the distinct lighter pink
center you normally see.
